Fruit infuse water
This summer detox your body by drinking flavored water.
In summer all of us are tend to drink lots of fizzy drink
and packed ready to drink juices. Which are not very healthy. Full of sugar and
preservatives
Instead try flavored water which is very easy to make,
healthy, low in sugar and full of flavor, taste and energy.
Encourage your children to drink flavor water. It will keep
them away from harmful drinks and help them to cultivate healthy habit to drink
more water.
You can make flavored water with almost all the fruits
except banana, jack fruit, custard apple or Spota.
Use your imagination and different combinations of fruits
and herbs.
Basically you need one or more fruit and a herb to make
flavored water. Addition to this you can add cucumber, ginger and lemon to
give extra zing.
If you want little sweetness add 1 tsp of sugar in a liter of
water or a spoon or more of honey.
- In fruits use fresh fruits.
- If you feel water is slightly bitter add more honey or add only lemon juice not lemon with rind.
- You cad add flavor water to Vodka or gin.
- You can spice up your water with some chilly flakes or slit green chilly.

Apple, cinnamon and rosemary / Mint water.
For 1 liter of water
1/2 Fuji or any variety of sweet apple
1/2 green apple for tartness or 1 lemon sliced with rind.
Tea spoon of organic Honey (Optional)

A spring of rosemary or Mint.
1 " piece of cinnamon. (You Can add cinnamon powder)
Method:
Thinly slice the apples add rosemary and cinnamon.
1 or 1/2 tea spoon of sugar or honey (optional)
Top with water.
Infuse water for a couple of hours or overnight in fridge before drinking.
Once water is consume repeat the process for maximum two more times before discarding the fruits.

- Apple, cinnamon
- Lemon, mint and cucumber
- Lemon, mint and ginger
- Watermelon and rosemary
- Watermelon and fresh jalapeno
- Cucumber, orange and mint
- Rosemary and orange
- Pineapple and mint
- Papaya and mint
- Strawberry and basil
- Melon, lemon and mint
You can make more combinations as per your taste.
Tips to make flavor water.Add thinly sliced fruits or muddle the fruits
and herb of your choice. Top up with ice and water. or add cold water. Infuse
the water for couple of hours before drinking.
Make two batches for continue supply of flavor water.
Fill and infuse the water twice with
the same fruit.
Discard the fruits.
Note: Fruit infuse water will attract fruit flies. So cover water container with tight lid. or refrigerate the water.
