Easy Biscuits

These biscuits are very easy to make and very crunchy and Tasty. This is basic recipe. You can add different flavors, dry fruits or candid fruits in it.
Ingredients:1/3 cup butter1/2 cup caster or powdered sugar1 egg yolk1 cup All purpose flour (Maida)Add flavor or nuts of your choice. 

Method:Mix 1 cup softened butter and ½ cup caster or powdered sugar in a large bowl with a wooden spoon, then add 1 egg yolk or whole egg and 2 tsp vanilla extract and briefly beat to combine. Sift over 1 cup plain flour and stir until the mixture is well combined and press the dough together.

If needed add chilled milk to combine the flour.Wrap dough in cling wrap and keep in fridge for 20 – 30 minutes. Roll and cut into desired shape.Or make a long roll chill and cut into thin slices.Wash with egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds or sesame seed. Bake in 170 degree C for 20 minutes or till done.Tip: While kneading the dough you can add chocolate chips, crushed nuts like cashew, almonds, pistachio or candid fruits.
You can also make Lemon biscuits adding Lemon juice and rind.

Ingredients:1/2 cup butter1/2 cup caster or powdered sugar1 egg yolk1 cup Whole wheat Flour + 1/4 cup  (Maida/ Soya Flour/ Rice flour). Add Almonds or nuts of your choice. In this recipe I used maida (All purpose flour) and Whole wheat Flour.

I used whole almonds, You can use Almond flakes, slices or crushed Almonds.
If dough is hard use couple of tea spoons of chilled milk.
Method is same as above.

After kneading make a roll wrap it in cling wrap and keep in freezer for 20 -30 minutets.
 To give it a rustic look  Remove and slice it with sharp knife.
Or roll and cut with cookie cutter.
Bake and enjoy fresh biscuits.
